PUBLIC NOTICE: Notice of Intent to Impose and Use Passenger Facility Charges for Gallatin Field Airport, Belgrade, Montana

The Gallatin Airport Authority intends to file an application with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to impose and use Passenger Facility Charges (PFCs) for construction and consultant inspection costs of the terminal expansion project identified in the 2008 Master Plan Update at Gallatin Field Airport, Belgrade, Montana.

2008 Passenger Boardings Break Record at Gallatin Field

A record 351,214 passengers boarded scheduled airline flights at Gallatin Field Airport in 2008, up 4.8% over the previous record set in 2007. New airline service by Frontier Airlines to Denver and Allegiant Air to Las Vegas as well as new seasonal non-stop service on United Express to Los Angeles all contributed to the record year.

Expanded Parking Lot Opens

BZN opened an additional 700 parking stalls at the airline terminal pay parking lot today. The expanded parking lot comes just in time for the addition of Allegiant Air to BZN as well as the coming holidays. Over the next several weeks, the finishing touches will be completed to the new exit plaza and will be completed with the installation of all new equipment.

Airport expanding public parking lot

The Gallatin Airport Authority has begun a two million dollar expanansion of the public parking lot at BZN. The parking lot will expand from 760 parking stalls to over 1,400 stalls and include a new and expanded exit plaza as well as new equipment. The parking lot expansion is part of a $50,000,000 terminal expansion project over the next ten years.

On Tuesday, July 1st, the new Gallatin Airport Authority Public Safety Department will assume law enforcement and public safety duties at Gallatin Field Airport (BZN). Frontier Airlines begins service to Bozeman

Frontier Airlines began daily non-stop service from Bozeman to Denver on May 22, 2008. Frontier offers three flights per day each way using 74-seat Q400 aircraft. According to the Frontier Airlines press release "Frontier's new service has reduced the average fare in many of the new markets by as much as 50%."
