BZN sets sky-high record for July, 2023
The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) reported sky-high summer traffic for the month of July. July, 2023 is now the busiest month on-record. Bustling summer traffic is not out of the ordinary for BZN. Every year, the terminal is filled with travelers hungry to experience the beauty and thrill of a Southwest Montana vacation.
In July 2023, BZN's total airport load factor (percentage of seats filled) was 91.8%. In total, the airport saw 286,153 passengers in July with 142,890 of those passengers enplaning at BZN. The airport reached an all-time record of 11,990 tower operations in one month. Rolling 12-month operations reached another record at 120,622. This is the first time we have surpassed 120,000. History has shown a slight dip in passenger traffic for the month of August compared to July; however, we are expecting August 2023 to be comparable to July 2023. With that being said, BZN urges travelers to abide by the airlines' recommendation of arriving 2 hours prior to scheduled departure times. Please plan ahead for airport parking, airline check in, security screening, and concessions!
