BZN Sets State Record For Passengers In 2013

BOZEMAN, MT (January 9, 2014).

Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) handled 884,660 passengers flying in and out during 2013, setting the state record. Passenger levels for 2013 were up 2% compared to 2012.

The Air Traffic Control Tower handled 74,952 aircraft operations during the year, down 8% from 2012.  General aviation accounts for 74% of aircraft operations at BZN.

Scheduled passenger and cargo airline service accounts for approximately 19% and corporate jet operations account for the remaining 7% of all aircraft operations. There were 114 general aviation international arrivals handled at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office at BZN during the year.

In March, Bozeman Yellowstone Int’l Airport welcomed its 15 millionth passenger since 1947 and in May became Montana’s busiest passenger airport.  In August, BZN completed the construction of an additional 312 parking stalls in the pay parking lot and added an eleventh parking position for airliners at the terminal.

Construction also began on the new I-90 Interchange that will serve the airport and is expected to be completed in late 2014.
