Construction is in full swing at BZN

Construction is in full swing around the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN). Customers and passengers will notice construction teams expanding, building, and rehabilitating infrastructure around airport property and in the terminal. 

Coming in September, the grand opening of BZN's B Concourse BZN Market, located inside security between gates B2 and B3, will welcome passengers who are seeking quick food options. The BZN Market will have additional seating and retail options. 

BZN's state-of-the-art in-line baggage handling system will be completed this year. This system upgrade will allow airline staff to move baggage from check-in counters to aircraft swiftly and efficiently. 

Terminal parking and curb construction is still underway at BZN. We recently announced the opening of the new one-hour free parking lot! For more information on this parking area, click here. 

Many of the projects starting at BZN this year will be multi-phase and multi-year developments. For some projects, construction will continue through the year 2030. 

A brief list of construction projects include: 

Terminal Projects: Passenger checkpoint queuing area expansion, ticketing lobby carpet replacement, B Concourse BZN Market Place, in-line baggage handling system and beginning next year a six-year project expanding baggage claim, expansion of the A Concourse to include larger existing gate areas, three additional gates, new food/beverage and gift concessions, a second TSA screening checkpoint and relocated Airport administration. 

Northside Improvement: Hangar expansion, land acquisition, Summit Aviation facility expansion and Ridgeline Aviation facility expansion. 

Tower and Navigational Aid Improvements: Tower improvements, Runway Visual Range (RVR), Special authorization Category II approach, Medium Intensity Approach Light System with Runway Alignment indicator lights (MALSR) on Runway 30, relocation of the very High Frequency Omni-Directional Range (VOR). South General Aviation (GA) Improvements: YC Hangars 7&8, GA ramp rehabilitation, east ramp expansion and rehabilitation, new Taxiway "G", Taxiway "F" relocation, service road relocation, tie-down ramp expansion and rehabilitation. 

Frontline Redevelopment: Yellowstone Jet Center (YJC) hangar and parking lot construction, Jet Aviation hangar construction, Million Air hangar remodel. 

Gallatin Airport Authority: Expansion of the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) building to include additional ARFF Truck bays and quick response Snow Removal Equipment bays. 

West Terminal Support: Yellowstone Jet Center west fuel farm and Ground Support Equipment building, Million Air fuel farm and airline deicing storage relocation.
